Directions
The route starts right in the middle of Dresden city center, at the foot of the Augustus Bridge on the Neustadt side, with a magnificent view of the baroque old town. We cycle west along the Elbe cycle path, always heading towards Meissen. Thanks to the flat route, it rolls wonderfully, even for the little ones. We arrive in Radebeul at the village green in Kötzschenbroda. A short stop at one of the many inviting beer gardens is worthwhile here.
Refreshed, the ride continues to Coswig-Kötitz. At halfway, we encounter the ferry with which we cross the Elbe and resume the path on the Elbe cycle path heading back to Dresden. Along impressive landscapes, our route continues along the Elbe bank to Dresden-Gohlis. In Gohlis, we pass by the historic windmill, which also invites a pause with its beer garden. On the way to Dresden, the big attraction for children awaits: the playground at the Ostragehege sports park. Here, the kids can use their last energies and have a good time on the equipment. After passing the Yenidze and the Congress Center, the route ends after crossing the Augustus Bridge again at Neustädter Markt in Dresden city center.
