Safety guidelines

The FIS rules of conduct for cross-country skiers and the track regulations of the German Ski Association apply on the trail.
  • Every cross-country skier must behave so as not to endanger or harm others.
  • Marking and notice signs must be observed. Pedestrians and dogs are prohibited from entering the full width of the trail.
  • It is generally required to ski on the right lane - including groups.
  • Overtaking is allowed on the left or right; the leading skier does not need to leave the lane.
  • Ski tours must be avoided during darkness and extreme weather conditions.
  • When resting and taking a break, the trail must be left.

Please note:

  • Mutual help is a matter of course and also a duty in emergencies. The trail is supervised by mountain rescue (emergency number 112).
  • If the trail is wide enough, freestyle technique (skating) is allowed between the direction tracks; however, these must not be damaged.
  • It is safe to ski in the plow position between the direction tracks.
  • During skating, the tracks must not be damaged.
