Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna Forest Nature Trail

The hike begins at the Reuterhof mini-settlement, south of Reinhardtsdorf. The parking lot in Reuterhof serves as the starting point. A total of 14 activity stations and 15 informational signs have been newly installed by Sachsenforst. One station, for example, is called “Water Reservoir.” Here, visitors can test which type of soil absorbs water best. There is also a half-timbered house, the time-travel compass, the strength game, a forest relaxation area, a sound game, a “soil window,” a suspension bridge, a “spider’s web,” the “soil filter,” a barefoot trail, the “Trees of the Forest” and “Animals of the Forest” stations, as well as the balance beam. A fun feature is the “animal long jump.” Who can hop as far as a flea? Generally, it doesn’t matter which direction you walk the nature trail. The loop is about 2.5 km long and is signposted.
