The hike leads from the Sehma district of the Sehmatal municipality up to the Firstenweg. Over the Sehmaer Höhe, which offers a beautiful panoramic view to Fichtelberg, Bärenstein and Scheibenberg, the Buchholzer Forest is reached. In its center, the Forester's Lodge country hotel invites for a stop or the adventure outdoor pool at Stangewald for refreshment.
The paths are mostly very well developed and can be easily driven with strollers or similar.

Directions
Up to the Firstenweg, the hike follows part of the mountain bike route "Stoneman Miriquidi", which is continuously signposted.
From the starting point at the Sehmaperle in Sehma, the route follows Karlsbader Straße for about 30 m to the Ladesstraße junction. Turn right here and continue along Ladesstraße past the railway underpass to the right. After about 50 m, a paved field path branches off to the left and leads uphill towards the Firstenweg (red-white marking), which is reached after about 700 m.
Follow the Firstenweg to the right over the bridge of the Erzgebirgische Aussichtsbahn Schwarzenberg-Annaberg-Buchholz railway line towards Sehmaer Höhe. Shortly after, the Firstenweg crosses the road between Walthersdorf and Sehma and continues into Buchholzer Forest. The path crosses the southern part of the forest and meets the federal road 101 in the small settlement Neu-Amerika, which must be crossed at the sports field.
The path now follows Buchholzer Straße or Walthersdorfer Weg, leading back into the forest. At the second crossroads in the forest, turn right. The path leads downhill towards the forester's lodge.
The return is possible by the same path, but the public transport options of the train from Annaberg-Buchholz Süd or bus from the Wendeschleife stop (line 428) can also be used to return to the starting point in Sehma.
