Directions

From the valley station of the Fichtelberg cable car, the path first leads towards the ski jumping hills (stair passage) and via the Berg-Kristall hotel lodge on the Philosophenweg to the Roter Vorwerk. Then you continue on shaded forest paths over the Ausrücke to the Black Pond – a rafting pond. Via Zschopauweg and Pförtelstraße you reach Gifthüttenstraße, where the hut Am Steinel is located; from here you can enjoy a magnificent view towards Bärenstein. You leave Gifthüttenstraße at a left turn into the Seltmannweg, which leads back to the Roter Vorwerk. Parallel to Vierenstraße your path continues back to Oberwiesenthal.
