Directions
From the valley station of the Fichtelberg suspension railway, the path initially leads towards the ski jumping hills and over the former hotel hut “Berg Kristall” on the Philosophenweg to the “Rotes Vorwerk”. It continues along shady forest paths over the clearings to the Black Pond – a rafting pond. Via the Zschopauweg and the Pförtelstraße you reach the Gifthüttenstraße, where the hut “Am Steinel” is located, from here you experience a wonderful view towards Bärenstein. You leave the Gifthüttenstraße at a junction to the left into the Seltmannweg, which leads you back to the “Rotes Vorwerk”. Parallel to the Vierenstraße, your path runs back to Oberwiesenthal to the starting point.
