Directions

The Heimatliederweg in the Geyer Forest offers singing enthusiasts beautiful panoramas and quiet forest glades. On 19 granite blocks, homeland songs by Anton Günther, Stephan Dietrich and others are attached. Two color-coded hiking trails of 5 km each invite you to hike and sing through the beautiful forest area. The routes lead past quiet forest ponds, old mining relics, mine ruins, and memorial stones. Rewarding ridge views can be experienced on the various paths. Peace and a nature experience are guaranteed. Seating areas invite you to rest.

Among the mining relics is, among others, the idyllic Holzbruch pit with a small waterfall, which is about 100m next to the route. To enjoy the nature experience, you should take the time and briefly deviate from the designated route: On route 1 (red), at the beginning of the tour on the left side of the roller ski trail, a signposted path with stairs leads down to the valley. A beautiful view opens up to the waterfall and further down you reach a water treading basin with a resting place. Then it goes back up to the roller ski trail and route 1 continues as signposted. On route 2 (green), you reach the waterfall almost at the end of the tour. At song board 19, turn left and after a few meters you reach the idyllic resting place and the water treading basin. After climbing a few steps, you have a beautiful view of the waterfall. On the way back to the valley, route 2 is completed along the Hüttenteiche ponds to the parking lot.
