Directions
The route begins at Marienberg City Hall, where free parking spaces are available. Follow the signs to the "Saxon-Bohemian Ore Mountains Museum" in the Bergmagazin; then go past the Kaiser Pond through the former peat extraction area Mooshaide to Drei Brüder Höhe. From the viewing tower, you can enjoy the charming Central Uplands landscape. The route continues to the visitor mine Pferdegöpel and then toward the waterworks with a view of the spoil heap "Bauer Morgengang." Passing the heaps of the former shafts "Vater Abraham" and "Drei Weiber," you hike back to Marienberg.
