The trail runs partly along a forest path without paving. There are information boards along the way that provide information about the forest and forest conversion, flora and fauna and the animals in the forest. The trail is located right next to the Eibenstock dam in the Erzgebirge / Vogtland nature park. In addition to the information boards, there are also some special views of the dam and the surrounding area and nature. The trail is accessible by bike, children's carriage and balance bike. There is only a steep ascent at the turn-off to the view, where it becomes a little more difficult and you would have to push. You learn a lot about the forest and forest conversion and the route is only 2.1 km long. Have fun exploring and discovering.

Directions
- The parking lot is at the junction to Eibenstock if you are coming from the B169 in the direction of Schneeberg. There is also a half-mile column and the start of the Marienweg. An overview board provides information about the stations of the signs along the way. The trail crosses the pre-dam in the direction of Hundshübel, after the pre-dam it turns left onto a forest path. Along the forest path there are information boards with information on forest conversion, wildlife and fauna. Halfway up, there is a steep ascent to a special view of the village of Hundshübel. The route then leads downhill again and into the village. It then takes a direct route back to the starting point.

A visit to the Eibenstock dam on the top of the wall is well worthwhile. There is the Marienweg, which starts at the same place. The town of Eibenstock is also worth a visit. There are several points of the UNESCO World Heritage Site "Montanregion Erzgebirge / Krušnohoří" nearby
