The traditional route leads in 4 stages from Zwickau via Schönfels to Reichenbach (23 km), further via Mühlwand and the Pöhl dam to Plauen (27 km), then via Kürbitz to Burgstein (18 km), and finally via Heinersgrün and Ullitz to Franconian Hof (20 km).
