On the old imperial road via imperii, pilgrimage through the Vogtland to Rome or to Santiago de Compostela!

The path leads from Zwicker Cathedral St. Marien out of the city to Schönfels, Neumark, Reichenbach, Mylau, Limbach, Plauen, Kürbitz, Ruderitz, Burgstein, Haidt to Hof. In total, many interesting places in Vogtland and historical sites along the cultural route of the Vogt can be visited on approximately 90 km.

The traditional route leads in 4 stages from Zwickau via Schönfels to Reichenbach (23 km), further via Mühlwand and the Pöhl dam to Plauen (27 km), then via Kürbitz to Burgstein (18 km), and finally via Heinersgrün and Ullitz to Franconian Hof (20 km).

Over time, individual alternative route options of the via imperii have developed, which include rest areas, overnight accommodations, and special places.
