Directions
The 38 km route starts at Zwönitz station. We follow the old Bernsbach railway line and reach Kühnhaide. After a longer ascent, the route leads to the "Zwönitz spring." Via the "rest stop" we enter the Geyrisch forest area with the distinctive points "Drei Lagenstein," "TV tower," "Wilder Mann." From the highest point of the route, it goes steeply downhill to Niederzwönitz, via Hormersdorfer Weg to Dorfchemnitz (tip: museum visit at the "Knochenstampfe"). Uphill we reach the Eisenweg and enjoy the view at "Fichtelberg lookout." Along the northern edge of the Ore Mountains we reach Streitwald on Lößnitz terrain. On the railway embankment of the former Stollberg – Zwönitz line, we cycle back to the starting point of the route.
