An approximately 20-minute circular walk introduces you to the medieval origins of the town.

This urban cultural route starts at the market and first leads to Sebastian-Bach-Platz, where a part of the remaining city wall can be viewed.

Then, via Johannisgasse, we reach today's Neuberin Museum, the former office of the Vögte. Here, the town history is vividly conveyed in an exhibition. The Reichenbach museum cellar in the vaults of the museum is a restaurant known beyond the town limits.

Next, we pass the Archidiaconate, which once housed the apartment of the archdeacon (head of a church district in the Middle Ages). The walk then leads to the town church St. Peter and Paul. The first documented mention of the parish church dates from 1225. It was once the mother church of the Herrschaft Mylau. Around 1260, the patronage of Reichenbach was transferred from the Vögte of Plauen to the Teutonic Order. The church rebuilt after the town fire of 1720 has an organ from the 18th century attributed to the Saxon organ builder Silbermann.
