Long-Distance Hike 2020 Saigerhütte (UNESCO World Heritage Site Component) around the City of Seven Valleys

All around the City of Seven Valleys is the name for the 3rd Olbernhau Long-Distance Hike on October 10

Due to the current travel warning for the Czech Republic, the 3rd Olbernhau Long-Distance Hike on October 10 will not lead to Rothenhaus Castle in Jirkov as previously announced. Only the start and finish remain the same. The long-distance hike starts at 7:30 AM at the West Gate of the Saigerhütte Olbernhau. The tour, led by hiking guide Christian Schöphs, runs, among other routes, along the Olbernhau Circular Hiking Trail. From the Saigerhütte, it goes over the Poppsche Estate to the Jahnsportplatz, Saydaer Street, to the Buttermilch - via the Ölmühlenbergweg further towards Reuckersdorf, Blumenau, and back to the market along the bike path. The lunch stop will be around 11:30 AM in the vault of Theater Variabels. From the Rittergut, the route continues via the Rübenauer Weg to the Anton-Günther Stone and the Schaal Monument back to the starting point at the Saigerhütte. The end is planned for around 3:00 PM. The tour is approximately 22 kilometers long, with about 300 meters of altitude to overcome.

Registration and payment of a starting fee are required for organizing the hike and the lunch stop. The recommended parking lot is the hiking parking lot at the Saigerhütte on Rothenthaler Street. Registrations for the 3rd Olbernhau Long-Distance Hike are accepted by the Tourist Information Olbernhau. Tel. 037360 689866
