In 1834, the composer traveled this route to his fiancée in Bohemian Asch. This led to the creation of a cross-border path, 12 km full of nature and romance. Just follow the official hiking signpost in the Rose Garden coming from Bad Elster, follow the signposts, and discover sights such as the Paul-Schindel Park, the Bily Halstrov reservoir, the Hainberg lookout tower, or the Sady-Miru Park in Asch. The hike takes about 3 hours.

- Getting thereBad Elster can be reached from the A72 - Plauen South exit following the B92 up to the Bad Elster junction. From Bavaria, you can alternatively take the route via the A93 to the Regnitzlosau exit. Drive towards Oelsnitz, cross the Saxon-Bavarian state border and turn right after Posseck towards Adorf. You will finally reach Bad Elster via the B92.ParkingThere are sufficient public parking spaces available in the city center area.Public transportation
