Directions

You’ll start at the Altenberg train station. Take the Alten Zaunhäuser Weg to reach Schneise 30. Follow this path to the Zinnwald weather station. Now cross the German-Czech border. You’ll reach a paved road, where you’ll turn left. Just before the gas station, turn right and follow the road to the Hotel Pomezi. You can cross State Road 8/E55 via a bridge. From here, the tour continues through wooded terrain. After a short descent, you’ll reach the path to the Mückentürmchen (Sedmihurska cesta). Once there, a fantastic view of the Bohemian Basin awaits you. The tour now leads through the small village of Fojtovice. You can reach it either via the road (keep right at the small chapel “Kaple sv. Wolfganga" below Mückenberg) or via a dirt road. From Fojtovice, the tour then leads back to Cinovec/Zinnwald on a road with little traffic. Once in Zinnwald, follow the signs for the visitor mine, which is located in the direction of Geising. Take the “Langer Gassenweg” to continue on to Altenberg. Cross the B170 road and turn onto Bergstraße. You’ll then reach your destination, the Altenberg train station, via Sonnenhofweg, Querweg (along the Altenberg Adventure Mountain), and Kurparkweg.
