The Zwickauer Mulde rises in the natural Vogtland and passes both the original Ore Mountains and the namesake city Zwickau before gently making its way to Sermuth. The tour on the "racing bike Mulde cycle path" along the Zwickauer Mulde starts directly in the source area in Schöneck, the highest town in Vogtland.Â
Via Aue the tour mostly runs along small country roads to Zwickau and is marked by a steady up and down. Feel free to also visit the city centers of Zwickau, Glauchau, and Wechselburg on your tour. The castles of Rochlitz and Colditz invite you to take a detour until the Mulde union.
