Although there is still much to discover in and around Freiberg, today we continue to Nossen, about 26 kilometers away. The route mostly follows directly through the beautiful Mulde valley and offers impressive views of nature. After about 7 km you reach north of Freiberg the town of Großschirma. Großschirma is especially known for its formerly highest motorway bridge in Europe, spanning over the Freiberger Mulde.

Directions
The starting point of this section is the intersection of the Freiberger Mulde with the B173 east of Freiberg. Coming from the town, we turn left before the bridge crossing the Mulde. We keep right and cross the Mulde via the small bridge, at the next but one intersection we turn left onto the valley path, which runs directly next to the river after 600 meters, and follow it to the Fuchsmühle. Here we turn left and cross the Mulde again. We drive around the elongated left curve and then straight ahead, crossing the priority road in Tuttendorf. At Ratsmühle, we change river sides again and then drive always straight ahead until we meet state road 196 in Halsbrücke. Here we turn left onto the state road and keep right until we cross the Mulde once more, placing us on the right side of the river. For another 4 kilometers, we ride along the Mulde to Großschirma. In Großschirma, the state road leads once more to the left Mulde side. After 200 meters, we turn right onto the main street, which after another 2 kilometers meets the river again. We leave the next bridge on the right and focus on the steep ascent to our left. At the T-junction, we turn right and follow the path to Kleinvoigtsberg. In the town, we turn right at the intersection and immediately left at the next junction. From here, the path descends steeply and is difficult to ride on. At Bergmannweg, we turn sharply right and follow the river course to the hammer mill, where we cross the river again. After about 2.5 kilometers, we reach a crossroad, whose bridge we use on the left to cross the Mulde and immediately turn right into the path after it. After 2.5 kilometers, the path branches right towards the Mulde shore. We stay on this path, which goes under the motorway bridge. After another 2 kilometers, we reach the main street; the Nossen center is located to the left.
