Route description:

From the Saigerhütte grounds hiking car park or Grünthal station you reach the Saigerhütte grounds (UNESCO World Heritage Site). From the signpost, follow the ridge trail (blue), E3 (blue) over the Flöha to the Hüttengrund. Continuing along this marking, the Oberneuschönberg church is passed. The Kirchweg crosses the Tiefen Graben along the route. After about 400 m, the E3 (blue) is left, and the Zechenweg is followed uphill to the forest edge. At the forest edge, the ridge trail (blue) is reached. After a short steep ascent, the ridge trail turns toward Talstraße. Downhill, you reach Talstraße. The street and the Flöha are crossed to the Sachsenweg. The Sachsenweg leads to the forest edge. At the forest edge by the forester's lodge, we leave the ridge trail (blue) and take the Sachsenweg along the marking EB (red). In the locality Seiffen, the main street is reached, which we follow to the town center. There are various dining options in Seiffen. The return journey can be made by public transport.
