Markt Olbernhau - Bahnhofstraße - Pedestrian crossing at Olbernhau station - Rübenauer Weg - Anton Günther Stone - Königsweg - Schaaldenkmal - steep ascent - Bruchberg - clearing over Roter Hirschweg - Sophienstein - Stößerfelsen - Reitsteig - junction to Tötzschtal

From the Markt Olbernhau we follow Bahnhofstraße towards the station. There we cross the railway line to the Rübenauer Weg. We follow this uphill, past the Frankwarte to the Anton Günther Stone. On the Rübenauer Weg we reach the Königsweg, which we follow to the Schaaldenkmal.

We reach the signpost for the Bruchberg junction. This detour leads us to the left; after about 150m we reach the rock of the Bruchberg (668m). The previous view is no longer available due to the tree cover. We go back about 150m and continue in the direction of the Roter Hirschweg. We cross this towards the Sophienstein (703m). Over a clearing we reach the Sophienstein with a wonderful view towards Brandow. After the Sophienstein we turn left and follow the signage towards Stößerfelsen. Before we reach the KAMMweg, we follow the Erikaweg for a short way. The Stößerfelsen (683m) is a highlight of the tour with a wide view into the Natzschung valley. From there, the Reitsteig leads us downhill. At the junction we go straight ahead. The footbridge leads us towards Tölzschtal. There we cross the road and the Natschung into Bohemia.

Return route:

We follow the path to the left along the river towards Brandau. Via the Kolonie we reach the road from Brandau, which we follow left to the Saigerhütte Olbernhau Grünthal. From there you can take the bus and train to the center of Olbernhau.
