The route leads from the recreational area Waldhaus to the half-timbered house with pottery, further towards Reudnitz to Mohlsdorf to the old school, the birthplace of the local poet Gotthold Roth, as well as to the Hermannsgrüner Church and then back to Waldhaus.

On this route you will explore the protected landscape area "Greiz-Werdauer Forest". In Waldhaus you can discover the animal enclosure with an area of approximately 3 hectares. Mainly native animal species are presented. In Waldhaus you will also find a beautiful playground, the Path of the Senses, the mausoleum of Prince Heinrich XXII in its simple elegance, and the nature conservation center of the NABU district association Gera-Greiz.

Getting there

Arrival is by car from Greiz in the direction of Greiz-Pohlitz, continuing via Waldhausstraße until reaching Waldhaus.

At the entrance to Waldhaus there is a large hiking parking lot.
