Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

The route is recommended equally for nature lovers and history enthusiasts. Pfaffroda Castle was a seat of the von Schönberg family. Other testimonies of history are the vault in the castle park, the church, and the ornamental planting "ADvS 1929" in the Bärenbachtal. The chief forester Max Clemens (memorial stone) served the von Schönberg family.

Safety guidelines

Do not leave the hiking trails. The route passes near a nature reserve.

Be considerate of cyclists.
