Start at the Am Hammerweg parking lot below the old town, from here continue along the Kirchsteig or take the inclined elevator up to the church (access to St. Georgenkirche and Schwarzenberg Castle). Past the Schwarzenberg information center, follow the yellow markings out of the old town via Schneeberger Straße to Galgenberg, on to Becherberg and then via the Waldbühne viewpoint (681 m above sea level) to Bermsgrün. From there, hike down into the Rosental valley and out of the valley again via the village of Erla-Crandorf to the Eisenstraße and Freitaggut. From there, the trail leads downhill through Ottenstein Park and Totenstein Park back to the starting point of the hike.

Directions
This tour starts at the Hammerweg parking lot below the old town and leads up to the church via Kirchsteig or the inclined elevator at
(access to St. Georgenkirche and Schwarzenberg Castle). The path leads to the left into Obere Schlossstraße as far as the market - past the Schwarzenberg information center to the left into Eibenstocker Straße. Then turn right into Schneeberger Straße. Uphill, the tour crosses the main road and continues uphill past the old vicarage to the left to the viewing point on Galgenberg (560 m). From here, continue along Bockauer Weg via Eibenstocker Str. and straight on into Anton-Günther-Str. From there, turn left to the viewpoint on Becherberg.Return a little way back to hiking trail E3 to Kratzbeersteig and then turn right. Turn left behind the residential buildings parallel to the Pappelweg. After approx. 200 m, the tour turns left into Bermsgrüner Str., straight ahead into the street "Am Rockelmann" and after approx. 200 m right up to the Waldbühne viewpoint (681.3 m). Continue out of the forest to Pappelweg and then turn left towards Bermsgrün. At the transformer tower, follow the yellow markings to Kirchsteig and continue downhill across the meadow. In the "Rosenthal" gardens, turn left and walk towards the old town with a view of the castle and church. At the main road, turn right, cross the traffic lights and continue right towards Erla along the main road. After approx. 300 m, the path turns left after the railroad bridge and continues towards an allotment site. From there, turn right towards Erla-Crandorf along the edge of the forest. In Erla, the path then leads uphill to the left to the Eisenstraße and a wonderful view of the surrounding region. Turn left past the model sports airfield to Freitaggut.
Continue downhill to the Alte Annaberger Straße. At the supermarket, turn right into Alte Heerstrasse and after about 200 m turn left onto a path past a paddock to "Ottensteinpark " (473.5 m). The Ottenstein viewing platform is on the left above. Further down the valley, you cross Karlsbader Str. (watch out for the main road!) and reach the parking lot of the supermarket. Behind it, the tour continues along the Schwarzwasser to the next bridge and then turns right into Bahnhofstraße. The direct ascent to the Totenstein is no longer possible.
Follow the alternative route to the right via Bahnhofstraße to the old market hall. In front of the sports store, the stairs on the left lead into Totenstein Park. Follow the path to the Totenstein viewpoint (477.8 m) on the left. Continue down through the park towards the old town and as far as the "Unteres Tor" gate. Continue in the direction of the market and turn left into Untere Schlossstrasse, past the Meissen porcelain carillon and finally past the church, a ride on the inclined elevator behind it or the stairs in front of it will take you to the starting point of the hike.
