Directions

The trail begins in the town center, behind the brewery on the Schanzenweg. 59 signposted stations show you the variety of plants, shrubs and trees, some of which are rare. The reward after a short climb is the magnificent view over Holzhau and Rechenberg. The trail now descends gently towards Holzhau. After turning right twice, the trail follows the meadow path and ends on the Muldentalstraße. You can round off your nature experience on the way back to the starting point with a visit to the farm garden at the Flößerhaus. From May to September, it is possible to experience the trail on a guided hike with the herb woman.
