Safety guidelines

The FIS code of conduct for cross-country skiers and the trail regulations of the German Ski Association apply on the trail.
  • Every cross-country skier must behave in a way that does not endanger or harm others.
  • Marking and informational signs must be observed. Pedestrians and dogs are not allowed to enter the trail along its entire width.
  • It is generally required to ski in the right track – also by groups.
  • Overtaking is allowed on the left or right; the skier in front does not have to leave the track.
  • Ski tours must be avoided in darkness and extreme weather conditions.
  • When resting and catching your breath, the trail must be left.

Please note:

  • Mutual help is self-evident and also mandatory in emergencies. The trail is supervised by mountain rescue (emergency call 112).
  • If the trail is wide enough, freestyle technique (skating) is allowed between the directional tracks; however, these may not be damaged.
  • Between the directional tracks it is safe to descend in the snowplough position.
  • The tracks must not be damaged while skating.
