The central trail entry point of the popular Neuhausen Schwartenberg cross-country ski trail is at the Bad Einsiedel inn near the Schwartenberg. Here, five different route lengths from 2 to 12 km offer cross-country skiing enjoyment for the whole family. The relatively snow-secure circular trails at an altitude of 600-800m mostly run through forest areas and are thus well protected from drifting snow. The different circular trails are color-coded and easy to recognize. Almost all trails offer one track for classic skiers and one for skating enthusiasts. At the “Göhrener Tor” as well as at Eberhardtweg, you can conveniently connect to the Czech trail network towards Mnisek and Kliny. The ski main trail is also of interest to long-distance skiers among the cross-country skiers. Also at Eberhardtweg is the connection to the Seiffen local trail and to the trail of the Sportwelt Preußler.

5 km
The 5 km trail mostly follows the same route as the 10 km trail. The profile is hilly without major climbs or descents. In the first section, it mostly goes uphill; on the way back more downhill. After 2 km, the trail turns left, while the 10 km trail continues straight ahead. The return way of the 10 km trail is already in sight. Then follows the common return path back to the starting point. Thus, the 5 km trail is a shortcut of the 10 km long route.
10 km
The 10 km trail runs from the Waldgasthof, Badstr. 1, to the German-Czech border. The path is initially the same as the 5 km trail as well as the ski main trail (SM). The profile is partly hilly and the first kilometers mostly ascending; at the border to the Czech Republic on the high plateau it is flat. After about 4 kilometers, it goes slightly downhill; to the right you can reach the border crossing Göhrener Tor. At the end of the gentle descent the trail turns and leads again southwest, first uphill, later downhill, the last kilometer hilly back to the starting point.
20 km
The route of the first 4 km is identical to the 10 km Schwartenberg trail. Then the 20 km trail branches off to the right to the Göhrener Tor. The short section (150 m) to the Göhrener Tor (loading wing) is usually not machine-groomed for nature conservation reasons. At the Göhrener Tor you cross the border and follow the trail to the right. On the same way you then go back to the Göhrener Tor and the 10 km Schwartenberg trail. Now follow the 10 km trail again back to the parking lot Waldgasthof, Badstr. 1.
