Directions

Your circular tour begins in the direction of "Fischerbaude". Walk along Ringelstraße past the Baude in the direction of "Torfhaus". At the next junction, at the "Radfernroute" signpost, turn right onto Grenzweg. (green line)

Follow the Grenzweg downhill to the signpost with the landscape map "Skifernwanderung Vogtland-Osterzgebirge" (left-hand side). At the fork in the path, follow the "Floßgrabenweg" to the right.

(yellow line) After approx. 300 m we come across the raft ditch filled with water on the left. Walk

Follow the forest path for approx. 1 km and enjoy the wonderful view through the larch trees to the Czech village of Horni Ves opposite. At the next fork in the road, follow the "Floßgrabenweg", which turns almost at right angles to the left here. (yellow line)

Continue downhill along the "Old Raft Ditch" (it has dried up here) until you reach an

old tree skeleton with an information board on the "Deadwood habitat". Follow the yellow markings for approx. 300 m to the fork and turn left and then immediately right again. (yellow line) Follow the path along the old raft ditch to the main road. (diagonally opposite is a parking lot)

Cross the road and turn right along the "Rodlandweg" to the parking lot on the Klötzerberg. (yellow line) Diagonally across the parking lot you reach the large intersection. Turn right and continue straight ahead on Ringelstrasse. At a rest area, turn left into "Siebenweg". This ends again in a parking lot on the Klötzerberg further down. From the parking lot, follow the next path (from "Siebenweg" almost at a right angle to the right) - the "Röderweg" (yellow line) back into the forest.

Enjoy the view over Rechenberg in places. Cross the "Georgentaler Weg" and then continue along the "Buchenweg" into the Trostgrund nature reserve (green and yellow line)

Here you can see through the trees to the church, the historic brewery and the new Rechenberg brewery.

The nature trail (nature reserve) continues downhill past the "Kälberhübel" to the "Trostgrundhütte" rest area. This is a good place for a rest and the Kneipp basin invites you to tread water. Continue left along the "Trostgrundweg" uphill (yellow line) to "Ringelstraße". Here you turn left again towards "Fischerbaude". After the apartment building, turn left and then walk diagonally along the meadow path to "Talblick".
