SMQR C-Edition Section 12 Rittersgrün Fichtelberg

The MTB and road bike routes meet for the first time at this checkpoint of the Stoneman Miriquidi C-Edition. After an extensive rest at the aid station, this stage takes you up the 1,215-metre-high Fichtelberg via the S 271. If you have some time left, it is worth making a detour to the local railroad museum in Rittersgrün. Following the route, you will pass the scattered settlements of Ehrenzipfel and Zweibach on the way to the next checkpoint. Between the two settlements, you will find the Wettinbrunnen fountain for a little refreshment. Get ready: Via Tellerhäuser, you then make a crisp ascent to the highest peak in Saxony!
