- 823 m
- 237 m
- Start: Pöhlberg
- Destination: Scheibenberg mountain and mountain inn
On the descent, the route first passes the "butter churn" basalt columns. This is followed shortly afterwards by Annaberg-Buchholz (administrative seat of the Erzgebirge district) with its landmark, St. Anne's Church, an important late Gothic hall church. The Stoneman then passes through two typical Erzgebirge villages, Cunersdorf and Sehmatal. Bikers approach the 807 m high summit with its mountain inn and viewing tower via a wooded area on the "Liebenstein" on narrow paths. The landmarks of the Scheibenberg (basalt massif) are the "Orgelpfeifen", 30 m high basalt columns below the summit.
