Stoneman Miriquidi Road stage 08 Zinnwald - Zamek Valdstein Litvinov

Tin was mined on a large scale in Zinnwald as early as the 13th century. The visitor mine "Vereinigt Zwitterfeld" bears witness to this. The Tiefe Bünaustolln literally provides insights into the history of mining. PastZinnwald, the Stoneman Miriquidi Road crosses the Czech border and heads southwest through the picturesque and bizarre Cínovecké rašeliniště moorland, from where it climbs past the Stürmer, the largest ski area in the eastern Ore Mountains, from whose summit there is a wonderful view.The short descent to the Flöha valley is followed by the next ramp up to Dlouhá Louka. Each ascent is followed by a reward: a breathtaking view over the North Bohemian Basin. This is where the next 400-meter descent leads. The next checkpoint is also located here: Litvínov, at the back of Zámek Valdštejnů (Waldstein Castle).
