Ski stage 1: Oberwiesenthal - Johanngeorgenstadt

Checkpoints: Nepomuk Chapel, Henneberg Inn

You start at the foot of the Fichtelberg towards the Erzgebirge ridge. After the Hubertky border crossing, you follow a relatively flat section towards the chapel. The route continues down into the picturesque Schwarzwassertal valley. Once you reach the edge of the forest, you can take a look back at the Plessberg. Finally, you reach the Gasthaus Henneberg on the meandering ridge trail.

Ski stage 2: Johanngeorgenstadt - Schöneck

38 km | ➚ 356 m | ➘ 446 m

Checkpoint: Schneckenstein

You start the day in the direction of Carlsfeld. You cross Saxony's highest dam, Weiterswiese, directly on the dam wall. The route takes you higher and higher up to

to the small Rammelsberg. The descent to Mühlleiten is a real reward before you find yourself on the way to the Schneckenstein topaz rock.

Ski stage 3: Schöneck - Johanngeorgenstadt

44 km | ➚ 628 m | ➘ 521 m

Checkpoints: Aschberg, Jeleni

On the Aschberg, it is worth taking a look at the beautiful Klingenthal from the viewing tower. After the border, steep and open terrain leads you downhill. The ascent back up the ridge is long and steady. But the next checkpoint is not far away!

Ski stage 4: Johanngeorgenstadt - Oberwiesenthal

48 km | ➚ 769 m | ➘ 712 m

Checkpoints: Plattenberg, Wunderblume, Fichtelberg

Follow the ski trail to the Blatenský Vrch (Plattenberg) checkpoint. The red mine and the surrounding pits show you the mining past. As you circle the Božidarský Špičák (Spitzberg), you move through a mystical moorland landscape. The Fichtelberg soon appears in your field of vision. Are you ready for the final ascent?
