This varied cycle tour takes you through the impressive forests and high altitudes of the Eastern Ore Mountains. From Altenberg, the route runs via Zinnwald-Georgenfeld, whose centuries-old tradition was shaped by tin mining. On the way, you will pass the unique Georgenfeld upland moor, the Lugsteine and the Kahleberg. In Schellerhau, the botanical garden invites you to get to know the diverse flora of the Ore Mountains. The atmospheric finale is the famous Meissen porcelain carillon in the Bärenfels spa gardens. The 25 bells made from original Meissen porcelain have been ringing out on the hour since 1955, making the spa town a special cultural attraction.

Directions
- Start at the parking lot in Bärenfels. Head in the direction of Putzmühle (Försterweg). Once there, take the Pöbelbachweg and the Gabelweg to the "Wüsten Teich". Continue in the direction of Rehefeld-Zaunhaus, then take the Grenzweg towards the Czech border. Follow this in the direction of Zinnwald-Georgenfeld. Passing the Georgenfeld high moor, the Lugsteine and the Lugsteinhof, you reach trail no. 30, which you follow to the Kahleberg. Descend via the I-wing onto route 31, leaving the Galgenteiche ponds on your right and heading towards route 28 / Pöbelknochen. You then reach Schellerhau via the Landweg. Pass the botanical garden and turn left onto Zechenweg until you reach Julius-Schmidt-Steig. You reach Bärenfels via Neuschellerhau and the Spitzbergweg. At the end of your tour, the melodies of the Bärenfels carillon made of Meissen porcelain await you in the spa gardens.
