The Twin Cycle Route

The Spree Cycle Route and the Oder-Neiße Cycle Route can be combined in their varied sections to form a circular route - the Twin Cycle Route. We recommend starting in the film city of Görlitz. From here, you go upstream on the Oder-Neiße Cycle Route to Zittau and the Zittau Mountains. Those who have had enough cycling can also conveniently take the Trilex train. From here begins the most demanding part of the tour, which leads along the Mittelland Route to Eibau. From there, it is recommended to follow the Spree Cycle Route downstream to Bautzen, also called the city of towers. Once there, the route leads through the tour's scenic highlight, the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape, to Uhyst and the Bärwalder See. Shortly thereafter, the Frog Cycle Route is suitable to reach Bad Muskau in an easterly direction via Kromlau. Now the Twin Cycle Route follows the Oder-Neiße Cycle Route again and soon the Landeskrone rises on the horizon once more along with the silhouettes of Görlitz.
