A short hike around the Raupennest Health Center with a view of the Galgenteichen.

The Terrainkurweg 11 “Kleiner Kahlebergring” is an easy loop hike that offers pure relaxation over just under 5 kilometers. The route winds through the beautiful forests of the Ore Mountains and past the large Galgenteich pond. A detour to the Kahleberg is well worth it here.

This trail is stroller-friendly and accessible to wheelchair users.

Directions

From the Raupennest Health Center running group, head toward Großer Galgenteich. Turn left, then left again at the next intersection. Walk straight ahead for about 300 meters. Once you reach Sandbachweg, continue along it for about 1.5 km. At Alten Zaunhäuser Weg, keep to the right and follow the trail until you reach Eva-Steig. Here, turn right onto the forest path. Cross Rehefelder Str. again and stay on the path, which is now called Schneise 31. After about 600 m, turn right onto the forest path at Neugraben. After about 400 m, turn right onto the path that leads you back to the starting point. On your left, you’ll see the Großer Galgenteich; ahead of you is the Raupennest Health Center.

Additional information

The classic terrain therapy is a special form of exercise therapy practiced at a health resort. It is characterized by exercise intensity tailored to the individual’s fitness level, full-body training, time spent outdoors, and experiencing the natural landscape. It is performed through normal or brisk walking. Terrain therapy helps normalize the body’s autonomic functions: the cardiovascular system works more efficiently, respiratory function is stimulated, muscles and joints are strengthened, and overall metabolism is positively influenced.
