Directions

The industrial area near the Neudorf village church serves as orientation for the start of the route. In front of the Frei carpentry hall, turn right onto Pfarrweg. This leads past the parish tree uphill towards Siebensäure. From the Gründelweg shelter onwards, the white-red-white marking of the Firstenweg accompanies you until it meets the Erzgebirge-Vogtland ridge trail. You now hike on this trail to the summit of the Fichtelberg at 1,215 m elevation. There you have the highest view and outlook in the Free State of Saxony. For the "way home," the ridge trail is recommended. At the meeting point with the Bimmelbahn adventure trail (shortly before Kretscham-Rothensehma), you switch to the green marked path towards Neudorf/Cranzahl until the start of the route.
