- This wild and romantic tour leads along well-maintained paths through the Schweinitztal valley via Oberlochmühle. (Tip: visit the small chapel). Past the "Fortuna Stollen" mine in Deutschkatharinaberg, where the Amber Room is being searched for, you cross the border stream into the Czech Republic to the "Jahnwarte" observation tower (716 m) in Katharinaberg (CZ). Via Deutschneudorf (border) along the border hiking trail, you reach the Schwartenberg (789 m) near Seiffen via Brüderwiese. Here you have a great view of the Ore Mountains landscape and a cozy place to stop for refreshments.
