The circular hiking route shows the natural beauties of Zechengrund and Börnerwiesen. Through deep gorges along lively streams, you reach the cable car again via the Ausrücke.

Attention:

Due to extensive and long-lasting forestry work in the Tellerhäuser area, the Ulrich Wehling Route No. 7 is closed in this section.

The detour goes from Bächelhütte via Proviantweg to Wurzelbergstraße and is signposted.

Directions

The starting point of the hike is the valley station of the Fichtelberg cable car; from here you walk via Büttnerweg and Karlsbader Straße onto Alte Poststraße towards Boží Dar. Before the border, turn right and hike past the "Neues Haus" to the Sparkassen ski arena. On shaded forest paths, continue via the Börnerwiesen natural area monument to Tellerhäuser. The path leads you through the forest-rich Fichtelberg nature reserve. Via the Ausrückeweg, you reach the „Rotes Vorwerk“. The last meters of the hike run parallel to Vierenstraße and lead you along the Schindelbachtal back to Oberwiesenthal.
