Nebelschütz

"Herberge Heldhaus" (Heldec hospoda): The timber-framed and fully restored three-sided farmyard is about 250 years old and was rebuilt true to the original. It offers accommodation for 20 visitors.

Parish church "St. Martin" (wosadna cyrkej "Swj. Měrćina"): The baroque church dedicated to Saint Martin was built between 1741 and 1743 on granite rocks according to construction plans by the famous architect of the Dresden Court Church, the Italian architect Gaetano Chiaveri. The impressive interior includes a wooden high altar (Baroque, 16 m high and 5.5 m wide), the altarpiece Assumption of Mary, above it the image of St. Martin (patron of the church). On both sides of the image of Mary are statues of St. Catherine and St. Margaret. The altar table is made of wood. The pulpit with the four evangelists is also baroque.

Wend Gate ("Torož"): Here a piece of traditional Sorbian craftsmanship has been preserved from imminent decay. Built in the clear folk architecture style passed down from ancestors, this gate was originally the entrance to the "Wendish Village", part of the Saxon crafts and applied arts exhibition in Dresden in 1896. The probably only gatehouse of its kind still existing was saved from demolition. Since 2006, the Wend Gate on the way to the park has regained its gate function. Information boards allow users of the Krabat cycling route as well as pilgrims on the ecumenical pilgrimage route to learn about the land and people of the region.

Dürrwicknitz (Wěteńca): The small farming village enchants especially with its stately three-sided farmsteads with wide gate arches and the well-shaped prayer column from 1789 at the crossroads eastwards. The Wěteńca pottery farm with Sorbian faience painting, fairy tale and legend designs, and the Krabat bench awaits your visit and invites you to a creative rest.

Miltitz (Miłoćicy): The "Miltitz Frog" (Miłočanska žaba) makes the 240-inhabitant place widely known. The "Miltitz Frog" is an outstanding, naturally protected block of granite which acquired its frog-like shape through glaciers of the Elster ice age.

Miltitz quarry (Miłočanska skała): In the quarry Miltitz (KRABAT stone), about 3 km from Nebelschütz, artists from the neighboring regions of Saxony, Poland, and the Czech Republic gather annually for a sculpture workshop. Under the open sky sculptures made of granite, sandstone, and wood as well as other materials such as ceramics, metal and pigments are created. The artworks can be discovered above and below water. Information about diving or learning to dive can be found at www.druckausgleich.de. Within the EU project, a Germanic settlement is planned here. A replica of a Germanic longhouse can already be visited.
