The route passes mining sites, to the Geisingberg and through fantastic winter forests.

You start at the Altenberg Tourist Information. From here, you hike the official trail to the Geisingberg via Dippoldiswalder Street and Hirschsprunger Street. Then, before the railway crossing, turn right. Follow the path straight ahead to Geisingberg. After a break on the mountain, descend again. Then keep left on the mining educational trail. Continue hiking around the pit to the Mining Museum. Cross Geisinger Street and continue to Arno-Lippmann Shaft, leading you back to B170. Follow this for about 800 m until you turn right onto Sonnenhofweg. Continue until the Waldschänke "Altes Raupennest". At the junction before, keep left. Follow this path to the intersection with Alten Zaunhäuser Weg. Turn right there. Upon reaching Erlebnisberg Altenberg, turn left and walk through the spa park back to the starting point.

The 18 m high Louis Tower on Geisingberg offers a 360° view of the Altenberg holiday region!
