Directions
- The trail begins in the center of Seiffen and leads uphill along Bahnhofstraße. At the next junction, keep half right and head towards the Steinhübel district. There, in the center of the development, turn right again and continue uphill through fields and meadows to the edge of the forest, where you turn left between some small houses. Behind them, turn right along the valley slope. You will soon cross a large shelter where you take the path over the bridge. After leaving the shelter (please close the gates), you will soon see some houses of Dittersbach (OT of Neuhausen) peeking up through the dense spruce forest. After a short time, you will find a block of serpentine stone - the legendary baptismal font - on the right, close to the path. You can find out more on the spot. The path then continues down to the valley road, which you follow into the center of Neuhausen. The way back to Seiffen (red markings) starts at the church. The path leads to the right in the direction of Schwartenberg, over the so-called Schwarte. At the highest point, it passes through a wooded area, in the middle of which you can take a detour to the left to Schwartenberg, which is an excellent vantage point. The trail continues along the red markings, past a weather-beaten beech tree, where there is a refreshing view of the ridge area, down into the valley to Seiffen.
