  • Hammerweg from Rübenau,

From the starting point at the Rübenauer Weg/Hammerweg junction, the route leads uphill via the Hammerweg towards Wettinplatz. Before that, we keep to the right. On the level and slightly downhill, we reach the Trompeterflügel, we keep right again. The Trompeterflügel crosses the Zehnerflügel and then meets the C-Wing. We keep right. At the next junction, the C-Wing changes into the Königsweg. Past the turnoff to the new Fuchssteinweg, we keep right along the forest edge and shortly afterwards reach our starting point again. Of course, other entries to the circular route via various access paths are possible.

Getting there

Olbernhau is accessible via the motorway network A4 Erfurt-Görlitz, A14 Leipzig-Nossen, A17 Dresden-Prague and A72 Hof-Leipzig.

In Chemnitz South, leave motorway A72 towards Marienberg (Prague). Up to Marienberg, you drive on B 174 and then turn onto B 171 towards Olbernhau. The distance from Chemnitz South is about 50 km.

If you travel from Dresden via the A4, we recommend the Siebenlehn exit towards Freiberg. On B 101, drive to Großhartmannsdorf or Pockau and then follow the signs to Olbernhau without problems. The distance from Siebenlehn is approximately 60 km.
