The tour through Görlitz leads you not only to the most beautiful playgrounds for children but also past sights for interested adults. Worth mentioning are, for example, the Holy Sepulchre, a replica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, or the Nikolaiturm, the oldest tower in Görlitz. On the tour, you pass the Peterskirche with its special sun organ, which is played from Easter to October on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 12 o'clock.
From the playground on Uferstraße, you have a view of the Altstadtbrücke, which has connected the Polish and German cities over the Neisse since 2004. Above the playground is a beautiful park area – the Ochsenbastei. A special playground is located in Stadtpark. This was built by "Kulturinsel Einsiedel" and is, like all of their playgrounds, unique. In Stadtpark is also the Meridian stone, as the 15th meridian runs exactly through Görlitz.

Directions
From Obermarkt and the Görlitz information center, you go via Plattnerstraße and Büttnerstraße to the Nikolaiturm. Below the tower is the first playground on Hugo-Keller-Straße. Next, it is worth taking a detour to the Nikolaivorstadt to the park area Lunitz 12B with the dancing carillon. The dancing carillon is a play opportunity with bronze plates embedded in the ground and bells hanging underneath. It can be activated and played by dancing and jumping on the bronze plates. From here, it is only a few minutes walk to the Holy Sepulchre, the Nikolaikirche, or the Nikolaifriedhof.
Return via Nikolaistraße, past the Peterskirche to the Altstadtbrücke. This pedestrian bridge connects the two parts of the Europastadt Görlitz/Zgorzelec and symbolically represents the merging of the two cities.
You now walk along the Polish side of the Neisse river to ul. Cienista. Here, directly on the Zgorzelec Neisse bank south of the city bridge "Johannes Paul II", there is a playground. It was established in 2013 and is easily accessible via the park paths of Neisse Park, which extends west of the cultural center. Then cross the city bridge back to Görlitz to the Stadtpark. Here you will find one of the most beautiful playgrounds in the city. Finally, continue to Uferstraße past Uferpark heading back toward the old town. Here you have the option to visit another playground as well as the Ochsenbastei. This is a green area between the former inner and outer city walls. It is only a few minutes' walk from here to Obermarkt.Note: If you do not want to go to the Polish side, you can walk from the Altstadtbrücke along Uferstraße towards Stadtpark.
