Go on a discovery route and explore energy in a playful way while hiking. The approximately 40 km long circular trail along the Red and Wild Weißeritz rivers leads you past six historic hydropower plants that generate electricity in an environmentally friendly way. Ten experiential areas with illustrative models invite you to try things out.

The hiking trail is continuously signposted as the ENSO Energy Experience Trail.

Alternatively, a one-way trip with the Weißeritztal Railway Freital - Malter or a return trip with the S-Bahn S3 or RB 30 Klingenberg - Tharandt is possible (fare zones Dippoldiswalde and Freital VVO).

Motorway A4 up to the Wilsdruff junction, then follow the signs to Tharandt

Parking spaces at the market (Am Markt), natural market (Pienner Straße/Dresdner Straße), P+R at the station and Forest Campus TU Dresden (access from Dresdner Straße to the gatekeeper's house) as well as at Roßmäßlerstraße and at the primary school (Wilsdruffer Straße)
Public transportation
S-Bahn S3 Dresden-Tharandt-Freiberg, Regional Train RB30 Dresden-Zwickau or Regional Express RE3 Dresden-Hof to P+R Tharandt station (Fare zone Freital VVO)
