The music city Leipzig as a place of residence and work of outstanding composers from the 18th to 20th centuries features a great variety of music-historically interesting places that can be experienced along the bike route "Leipzig Music Route".
The route leads through Gründerzeit neighborhoods and garden facilities, branched river courses and species-rich floodplain forest, country estates and parks, manor houses and public art.
The Leipzig Music Route starts at the Thomaskirche and ends at the Neues Gewandhaus and thus embraces the two focal points of Leipzig music history.
The Music Route consists of a roughly 20 km long western loop and an equally long eastern loop. In total, it covers about 40 km and 23 Music Route stations.
