Route (circular trail):
From the hiking car park Saigerhüttengelände or Grünthal train station, the path leads on the E3 (blue) long-distance trail towards Pföbe. Before crossing the S 216, we join the KAMMweg (blue), which we continue to follow. At the Pföbe fork, the path leads over the Sedanweg, the Stößerfelsenweg uphill to the Stößerfelsen (683 m, rest and viewpoint). Along the Stößerfelsenweg, the kleine Steinbach is reached. Continuing along the Brandleitenweg, you reach the Steinbach, where the KAMMweg is left. The Seinbachweg leads to the Hammerweg towards Olbernhau past the Wettinplatz. The Hammerweg leads into the Königsweg marked EB (red). The Dörfelbachtal is crossed, past the monument to forest ranger Schaal the paved forest path leads downhill to the compression station. At the junction Heidenweg follow the marking EB (red) through the industrial area back to the hiking car park Saigerhüttengelände, our starting point.
Alternative route / shortcut:
Shortly before the Schaaldenkmal on the Königsweg, we turn left into the Dörfelbachtal. The beautiful path along the Dörfelbach and past the Dörfelteich ends on the Heidenweg, which we continue to follow towards the Saigerhütte.
