But here is a smarter insider tip for the second half of your day: step aboard the historic Lößnitzgrundbahn, a nostalgic narrow-gauge steam train that runs daily between Radebeul, Moritzburg and Radeburg. For a truly unique experience, consider booking one of their themed excursions, such as the Whisky Nostalgia Tour or the lively Federweißer (new wine) steam train.

Combine romance and discovery with a sunset walk up the historic 390-step Spitzhaus staircase, rewarded by sweeping views across the Elbe Valley. For dinner, reserve a table at the historic Spitzhaus Restaurant, where traditional Saxon specialities and regional wines are served amid the vine-covered hillsides. As darkness falls, round off the evening at the nearby Radebeul Observatory, where public stargazing sessions and captivating planetarium shows offer the chance to explore the wonders of the night sky through powerful telescopes.
